I need a subwoofer for my home theater. I was trying to pick between a SVS SB 2000, or a GoldenEar Forcefield 4. What do you recommend and briefly why?

If I were considering a sub with a passive radiator at that price, I'd sooner get the MB Quart Vera sub. Compare its 128lb heft, 12" driver and dual passive radiators to the GoldenEar's 32lbs, 10" driver and single passive radiator. The Quart ought to move much more air and the enclosure much stiffer.

But if you prefer a sealed sub, get the SVS. Actually, for home theater use, the PB2000 might be more appropriate.

Great thanks. I will check out the quart Vera. Lots of research to do! Thanks again.
