I wanted every character to die in Cloverfield after 30 mins so the movie could end. :D
Me too :D But that's what I liked about the movie, it felt realistic as those characters did reflect people of that age and social circle in Manhattan. I'm tired of the heroic this, that, and the other thing. Give me Edward Norton in Fight Club, or Michael Douglas in Falling Down; you can't help root for the guys despite being nutballs.

I have Cloverfield but I can't remember it  Time to watch it again. I'm wondering if I reached a point in my life where everything is new again?? :p

I watched the 1988 DVD rendiditon of it last night. It wasn't a bad rendition. Surround affects were good but bass is lacking

Someone would have to pay me $100 to watch Cloverfield again. No way I'm doing that for free. :D

I disliked parts of Cloverfield and how it was shot, but I still felt it was a decent monster flick. Definitely some of the best bass around at the time.

Clearly due to this new one, Godzilla's older stuff seemed to be popping up on "Popular on Netflix" too. I watched some bits from the old ones last night for nostalgia reasons.
