He mentioned they have a custom veneer on the speakers. That's why I assume you are seeing a price disparity. They charge a hefty premium on anything other than their stock vinyl.

Yes their veneers are quite spendy. I also have a similar colored EP400 in veneer finish. I will sell the W3 speakers with the EP400 for $450 + shipping as a package deal.
