Hadn't listened to this album in a long time and found it while unpacking. I thought it had gotten stolen with my other stuff, so I was happy to be able to listen to it. Some solid songs on there.

Nice stuff. You can hear his Scotty Moore Influence on the Rag song. Dang guy died so young.
From what I read, he was exremely gifted in the mind and this was his downfall. He had a very difficult time sleeping. He turned to drugs to help him with his sleep depravation and eventually OD'd.

Muddy Waters considered Bloomfield, his son from an understanding of the blues.

Can you recommend a CD of his 3db? I can't afford the boxset.

Morning coffee, Dave Watts - "Will it rain ?".

Sadly, the phone-recorded video of a club performance on Youtube can't do justice to the sound of his Bass. If you spot this album, go for it, it's real treat. Amazon has samples of the tracks on the MP3 store, the track called "Rooster" is a favourite of mine.

I always use Nilson Matta music to fine tune my sub. I never get tired of listening to his music:

I've Got It

Yo La Tengo - Popular Songs (*****) CD

New Jersey's Ira Kaplan & Georgia Hubley too far & few in-between ventures into accessible R'n'R, the other being the Fakebook (****) album. I highly recommend this album ...

... but if you decide to venture further, you're more than likely to get something like this; from the I Am Not Afraid Of You And I Will Beat Your A$$ (****) release.
Not that it's a bad thing, mind you. :)

Saw Yo La Tengo at the Sun Club in Tempe in the early-mid '90s before it burned down. Mekons, too. :D
