I just remembered that I was a big fan of my grandma's peanut butter and jelly sandwich cookies...at least, I seem to recall that they had jelly. They were two peanut butter cookies with a layer of jelly in between. I'll have to ask my mom if I'm remembering correctly.

There is a restaurant near our Tennessee house that used to sell a cheese burger that used 2 grilled cheese as the bun, so a grilled cheese on top and one on bottom, then a chz burger with bacon in the middle.... Imagine getting that bad boy - dipping it in egg then panko then frying it up.... Cardiologists everywhere would be buying new boats..

My arteries are hardening up just from reading that...yet I am salivating at the thought. Is this a weird Pavlovian dual response?

As for grilled cheese, my wife only puts one thin slice of cheese on there. WTF? That cheesy melted gooiness is the best part!

I have started sprinkling a bit of garlic powder on the butter used on the outside parts of the bread slices and a bit of celery salt on the inside by the cheese. Oh the flavor...

Do you have family in Tennessee? In Texas we even fry butter which is disgusting. The best meat is smoked anyway.

We own property in TN, kind of went down there one year visiting friends {U.T. } fell in love with the local atmosphere, 9 months later bought a place so we can go down and be "home".... You are rite the best meat is smoked, although I am having roast prime rib tonight and its good too...
