If you liked that X-Men Origins steaming pile of crap then you're obviously not a fan of the comic book, (Deadpool as a Wolverine clone with laser beam eyes? Gimme a break
). I haven't completely hated the X-Men movies but they weren't that good, especially as an adaptation of the comic books. I haven't bothered with this one because they're taking too many liberties with the story again. But the trailer did look good. I'm sure I'll end up renting it eventually.
I did really like Avengers though. That's been my favorite comic book movie so far.
I actually am a "fan" of the comic books, I own and have read about every Wolverine issue printed including the frank miller stuff and 4 copies of Hulk 181. I met Stan Lee twice in my life once when I was 12 at Earthworld comics show and again at a Trading card show in Boston {in 02 they were pushing spidey one}, I have to disagree with you, ENTERTAINMENT is just that, I would rather watch a new story then one I already read. Don't for a second think that Stan Lee, Marvel, columbia, Scott Frank, Ditko, bomback, Fox, Century, ect ect ect would play around with 140 million dollars without covering what will sell and entertain people before doing so....
The movies are entertaining that's the point, The Wolverine series is good, and honestly I have read a lot of wolverine books including the origins, xmen {uncanny for the most part}, plus all of the mini's {franks 1-4, wolvie and havok meltdown, kitty pride, weapon x, ect} and the story they made the movies out of works just fine, sure its not following the issues and they took it where they wanted it to go, but if you read Marvel comics you would know he always let the writers and artists do their own thing {for the most part}, Frank Miller, Claremont, Len Wein, John Romita, Bryne, Trimpe all had their own little piece of Wolvie...
Im glad they didnt follow the story line, would you rather see the "Red Right Hand" get Wolverine to go to hell where he gets possessed by demons, so then the xmen figure they need to kill him, he ends up fighting the rrh and killing all the mongrels only to find out all the mongrels where his illigitmate children from the past so he buries them at their mothers graves and banishes himself into the tundra with a pack of wolves after the rrh all kill themselves, then poachers take the wolves and he gets revenge for that, while doing so he finds a bunch of little kids theat were kidnapped and while returning the little kids he gets convinced to come back to the civil world? I like the movies story better, lol...
