That is a pretty puny sub. The 1200 should be available again shortly. Look at SVS and HSU

I listened to powered monitors today and think i will stick with my celestions and add a sub to them too.

OK, here is the end of this saga.
Turns out I was trying to connect it wrong. Although I found and read the manual, I guess I didnt understand that the pre out to rca in, on the sub, is different than the rca out on my integrated amp and I SHOULD have been using the speaker level in/out only, or the pre-amp out (I think) on the amp (its switchable)
Once I did that I got sound but I was still getting a lot of interference.
finally decided to just spray what I could get to with deoxit. Speaker in/out, pots, speaker terminals inside and all power connections.
Its is now quiet.

I ordered a replacement Dayton plate amp (SA100). Installed it this morning, with a few minor mods to the cabinet and its better than the original which did give up. Additionally, I also bought a Pioneer SW-8MK2 which is all I need for now I figure.
