Hi,
My subwoofer died and i would like to get a new one with more (and deeper) punch.
It was paired with the orb audio satellites mod 1 (
http://www.soundandvision.com/content/orb-audio-peoplersquos-choice-speaker-system-ht-labs-measures). I would like to keep the satelites, and since these satellites do very little under 200hz, the sub has to be able go a long way up.
I am a complete noob with subs, and it is my impression that some subs do very well up to say 120hz and then drop off quickly. I have an old infinity hps 250 and that seems to be the case: it does not seem to play nicely with the satellites (hope it is not just my ears).
So in short i am looking for a replacement and would very much like to ask about suggestions.
It sits in a medium sized room with high ceilings (about 100m3 / 3500cubic feet), and i would use it for both music and movies - emphasis on music if anything-. I would ideally have just 1 sub, and do not like 'boominess'. I normally do not play music at high volume.
I have been researching a bit and looked at different options:
* svs sb2000 (these graphs seem to show they do relatively well at 180-200hz -or do i misread them?- :

* arendal sub 1 (850 euros + delivery, very top end of my budget; would rather not spend this much unless it is worth it - not sure if 20-160Hz (+/-3dB) is enough?;

* dali e-12f
* bk monolith df (not sure if too big / too powerful for my room,

* svs pc 2000
* any others?
I live in western Europe, it would be a plus if the sub was easy to buy and ship here.
Any help much appreciated.
