I bought some equipment today at a local hi-fi shop, including a $120CAD three foot RCA cable, made by Transparent Cable. I had previously heard that Transparent Cable has some sketchy logic behind their products, namely the "network", and I looked into it further when I got home. I no longer want these cables; I don't want to spend more for a cable than is necessary, so I would like to return them and buy something from Blue Jeans or Impact Acoustics, based on your approval here at Audioholics.
Now, the problem is that I need to return them, and I was hoping some people out there have some good lines that I can tell the associate so that he will permit me to return them. I'm not entirely sure if cables are return-able, as I know some of their equipment is un-returnable.
I realize this is a strange request, but I'm very frugal and I will never be happy listening to this music while staring at some snake-oil cables.
If it makes any difference, I received the cables without packaging. They do appear on the receipt, however.
Thanks for your help.
