Hello,
I picked up a Sony DE695 receiver from a friend, but the repair shop says there are 3-4 bad caps which need to be replaced.
First off I'm not too familiar with electronic repairs, but I catch on real fast. That being said I would like an opinion from those who do repairs if something like this can be done correctly be the average person without taking it to a shop.

Thanks
Jeremy

If you've done some kind of repair like this before, I'd say go for it, but get a schematic first. If you haven't, I would say it probably isn't something a novice would want to tackle.
