Cool photos

[Highlander]

I was looking through some older photos recently and came across these two, which I tidied up a bit. The second is of a rather dramatic 'bypass path', i.e. a path that those without a head for heights for the pinnacled mountain ridge proper may avoid. Uh huh...

The second image is far from perfectly exposed. However, in my defence, I was being eaten alive by the legendary Scottish midge at the time.

I really love candids. A lot of people really hate getting their picture taken, so when they see the camera, they get nervous, tense up, act weird, whatever. However, every so often I'll catch that moment right before they realize I'm aimed at them, and that's their true expression. It's just that much more natural, I always get super excited when I pull off a good candid!

I got this one today. I've obviously modified it in Photoshop, I'm kind of a sucker for B/W with color accents.

It was in the low 40s here during the day, so she was all bundled up. I was waiting for her to turn around, and as soon as she did, I snapped the pic! Good timing on my part, if I do say so myself.

Been messing with the camera for a Photo Group on Face Book, it s been fun, especially since I haven't been using it for awhile. Its a photo a day, last weeks challenge was outside on your property { took a lot of snow pics }, this week is "Knee Level or Lower!", where the camera has to be as stated. Here is this weeks so far...

Was playing around trying to get the black back ground. This is a piece of Amber I cut and polished for rough.

Been playing with the camera lately, mostly due to a photo group I have been active with for the last several weeks. The assignment for this week was to photograph something each day corresponding to a letter of your name, ie - this pictures is the letter K. Its been fun especially with all this crappy weather.
