    Craclking sound

This is interesting, I'm not saying this is or is not the problem, but when I had this ps3 hooked up to my old roommates surround sound there was no crackling. He only had the Yamaha 5.1 out of the box from bestbuy. But, I will look into this as well.

    Craclking sound

There was no crackling in the music to begin with so I'm not sure what this would accomplish. It only seems to happen on tv shows or movies. I went ahead and did it anyways and still no crackling. When I did this for a tv show there was no crackling that I noticed. I believe it is coming from...

The best true 5.1 setting on receiver

I put the optical there because i thought i would need it for my tv to be on the surround sound. But I went in to my ps3 settings and messed with those. It wouldn't let me unchecked all the 2.0 sound options but it had the 5.1 options already checked. So I then checked ARC i think it was called...

Hey everyone, so I changed the setup to the following- ps3 to receiver hdmi, receiver out to tv with hdmi, tv to receiver with optical cable. But I'm still having the same issue, the only setting that uses all the speakers as if it were surround sound is the pro logic setting. The auto surround...

The best true 5.1 setting on receiver

I have my playstaion 3 hooked up to my TV with an HDMI cable, I then have my TV connected to my receiver by optical cable. The best true 5.1 setting on receiver

Yes it does have an auto surround mode along with a couple different direct settings. I believe something is not right with with my receiver, in all honesty I have no idea what the problem might be. For example I just put in star trek on blu-ray, I tried my receiver on every setting it had. The...

    Craclking sound

Well, I believe the crackling comes from all the front speakers but I can't be sure. Like I said its mostly random when it happens so its hard to tell which speaker its coming from. It crackles when I'm using my playstion 3 for movies and games however when i use my iphone to play music over...

The best true 5.1 setting on receiver

Hey everyone, like the title says I'm just curious what is the best setting for 5.1 surround sound for movies, games, and music. I have a Pioneer VSX-823-K. I currently have it set to pro-logic II movie, but I currently read somewhere that Pro logic is not "real" 5.1 it's meant to take none 5.1...

    Craclking sound

Hey everyone, so just recently my basically new 5.0 surround sound (haven't gotten the sub yet) has started crackling semi randomly. I say semi randomly, because the only time it seems to have a pattern is when there is yelling going on, in whatever is on the TV, the voice starts to crackle...

I'm not sure, I hope so, with all the good feed back I've been getting I'm set on getting the VTF-2 I posted another comment about this same thing but it did not show up, I assume that is due to...

    Best sub for my money?

Well I would think about doing 2 subs, but i believe my receiver can only do 5.1 surround sound. The 7.2 system was too expensive for me. Thanks for the idea though, I will keep that in mind for a potential future set up.

Ok, my living room is 26ft * 13.5ft. Like i said not very big lol. With that said I will not always live here, like fuzz said, I can always dial something down.
