^ agree. Any Harmony with a hub is great. Very easy to set up also via a smart phone.

I use a Harmony smart control remote that has the blaster hub... The blaster will control anything in the room. No line of sight needed.... It also gives alot of control over home automation now. Linked a insteon hub to it and hit watch movie it dims all lights also and even turns on a generic...

Same speakers I now have, except I have rf-82 towers. I'm in process of rebuilding my system... im looking at a Denon x4200 and emotiva xpa5. How much hiss do you get with your setup?

I didn't see in this thread if you used something to trigger off the amps... If you havent, look at Niles ac-3. You can hook a trigger into it that turns on and off the outlets on it. I used one to trigger my two ep4000s

I have to say I am shocked this has been asked. even the laws of physics prove what bose is missing. The saying is no highs no lows BOSE. I have a complete polk system with an elite reciever, emotiva amp. and ed a5350 sub and it would take 50 bose systems and still not compete with my system...

Nightmare on Elm street for me. The original. As someone else said. All the others were pretty much a joke. But the first was creepy.

I also reccomend the Elemental designs A5-350. I have one in a 14x28x9' room and it can do some serious pressurizing. I also was use to car bass. So when I got this I was very happy. This thing is a beast. Im a bass head and this sub is great. With just one I have hit 124db.

I hope its soon. As its impossible to get any real info on these subs. over at another forum you can read thru 30 pages and get nothing out of it.

I would rate Emotiva a 10 out of 10. I love their amps. I used to have 2 xpa-1's also with the xpa-3. I also love the speakers. I listen to very loud levels and they never distort. My neighbors 3 houses down say they can tell what Im listening too. Good thing I live in party central. lol I plan...

Im curious about something. you say a TV does video processing? I have not bought a tv for 4 years and I may be out of the loop but TV's now do upconverting? This is something I did not know or have heard of except the occasional post ina thread on a forum.

I see the first problem in your set up is you say you have an internet modem and a phone modem. You should not have 2 modems in your house. You should only havd one EMTA which has a phone and internet modem in the same unit. I work for Comcast and we are not suppposed to put 2 modems in a house...

Not sure on the sub. Looking at Epik, Hsu research and Elemental designs and SVS. But I kind of think they will be so loud that I wont get good use of them. Bass seems to travel thru the walls alot more than higher frequencies. I think I may get an emo xpa-3 then later on upgrade with a xpa-2 or...

I agree get the elite 21. Unless you need 3 zones or more hdmi. I have the elite 21 which i upgraded from an older HK DPR1005. I will never own an HK again. I think for now ill stick with my rti150's as rears since they are tll enough towers that the tweets and mids can reach over the top of my couch. Plus I guess this way I can get an amp for my rears and have really kick ars multi channel music if I ever try it. It just seems like alot of speakers...
