No argument from me. The subwoofers for the last decade haven't been very good in comparison to the surge in internet retailers and simply better choices. I think we've turned the corner on that but only time will tell. Mark

I have read about some firmware issues but they appear to be fixed now. I downloaded it anyways as I don't know what's on mine yet. As far as reliability, I'll keep my fingers crossed. The 2yr warranty is a nice change. Mark

Walsh - I believe you could win either way with the gear you've narrowed it down to. I'm slightly biased towards Polk and like the choices on the TSi series. It's a better loudspeaker than the current Monitor series as well. The PSW111 is too small and would suggest, if you buy Polk, the DSW PRO...

Does anyone have any experience with the NR series from Onkyo? I've done alot of back and forth trying to decide on my next AVR and settled on the TX-NR5007. Big mistake? Excellent choice? Any comments, good or bad, are most welcome :confused: Mark

I like KEF loudspeakers for what they do near field but the difference in imaging between the two loudspeakers otherwise is a matter of taste. A soft dome tweeter(e.g. Polk) is pretty much my soulmate in regards to monkey coffins but some folks integrate a metal dome properly. You can't go...
