Hello,
Thanks for all your previous help. I've got a question about the component inputs. Do I really need to concern myself to much with them on my new reciever? I'm thinking I'll go direct to the tv from My DVD player and Xbox for the video, and route the audio to the reciever. At first I was only looking for recivers with component but it's probably best to run straight to the tv, isn't it?

Thanks
Mark

Yes and no. Many TVs only come with ONE set of component inputs... so if you want effortless video switching, you'll need to run your sources through the receiver.

Even a purist will concede that swapping component inputs on the back of a TV constantly will probably result in problems.

Switching the video through your receiver will also enable your receiver's on screen display for set up and changes.

True. Remember though that, except for some choice high-end units, only the newer receivers with component video "up-conversion" give you the OSD via component outputs.
