Dear All,

Need your oppinion on this issue:
I hook up my Yamaha v2500 to my Samsung DLP using monster component video cable.

I have Sony VCR Player (about 5 years old) that has composite video output (yellow connector). The VCR plays OK with the TV if I hook them directly. But when I hook the VCR to Receiver, the video signal is not clear, some time the picture idle or distorted, or no picture at all. I turn off the receiver and turn on again, the picture appears but and then get worse.

I thought that the issue comes from the composite input in the Yam receiver, so I tested it out: I hook up the satellite composite video from my satellite receiver to the Yamaha receiver, and this time the picture looks fine. I tested the DVD player via composite video signal, the picture looks fine.

So I guess the video conversion function of the yamaha receiver works OK for Satellite and DVD, but the VCR. Maybe the video signal from VCR is too weak that Yamaha v2500 cannot process?

Any suggestion?
Thanks
