Yamaha v1400 or Pioneer vsx1014 with psb speakers

On Yamaha's website, they recommend that no more than 1 pair of 6 or 4 ohm speakers should be used with their receivers. .

Is that one par excludes surround speakers or the usze on speaker select A or B but not both?

PSB and Yamaha

I have owned PSB Image 2B/Center, PSB Alpha with my good ol' Yamaha RXV460 Receiver (75W), and then PSB Stratus Mini, then added new Yamaha 1400 Receiver. My personal experience tells me that PSB pairs with Yamaha flawlessly. Yamaha receivers are excellent so I've kept with the brand. I only had some under power problem with RXV460 with Stratus Mini's (4ohm)-- obviously 75W is not enough.

Now I have 1400 with my heavenly Dynaudio Special 25 speakers and REL Stratus III sub. Man am I happy! well still lurking to Dynaudio Contour S5.4....
