I have a yamaha v-2500 receiver. My front speakers and center channel speakers are all B & W 700 series top quality brand new condition speakers. My four surround sound speakers are all from the same series, and they are all bipole. I have 14 guage speaker wire with top quality end attachments attached to the ends for excellent contact to all my speakers from the receiver. I have made sure that the receiver is on 8 ohms. I have also fooled around with the system for approx. 12 hours and I am not all around brand new to the receiver world. I have either a digital coaxil cable or the option of the fiber optic digital cable which i have tried both out during several movie seens. My problem is, no matter what I try on the decibel levels of the speakers or the correct distance or anything you can think of in the on screen guide to enhance my sound, the eceiver just does not put out the juice to each speaker like it should. I did notice that no matter what I try I cannot get the zone 2 or 3 name of my front panel of the receiver. I have the decibels turned up, I have the speakers positioned correctly, I have top of the line speakers all the way around (and none of them are blown), I have a receiver that is supposed to be capable of 130 rms watts per channel, and i have had the settings inside the receiver every which way that I could think of trying to get more power out of the receiver. i ALMOST MISS MY 200.00 DOLLAR SONY receiver that I got rid of because it always pumped out enough power to blow the windows out, even on cheep speakers. I upgraded everything, including my connections, which are getting a digital sound signal during a dvd, weather it be dolby or DTS. Is there a trick that I dont know about that I need to do to get the power flowing. Please help, I am in desperate need of advice from someone who knows more than I do. Thank You
