Hey,

I have a Creative X-Fi Xtreme Music... And i have a mmpc... I have a 7.1 speaker setup and i need a way of connecting my sound card to my yamaha amp...

I have only digital coax and digital optical connections in the back of the amp... I have tried using a 3.5mm jack to rca for digital coax however i only get 2.1 sound... Leaving me with crap audio quality and 5 speakers unused...

Will the creative Digital I/O Module give me 7.1 or even 5.1 surround sound??? Also can i use a mic if i get a Digital I/O Module???

Is it possible that my AMp can ecode a DTS signal and process it as 7.1 surround..? Like that DTS box from creative.. but intergrated in my AMP???

My amp is a Yamaha RX-Z9:

How can i connect it using analog??? How do i connect it for 7.1 sound (the x-fi xtreme music sound card only has 3 output ports yet does 7.1 sound)???

Thanks,

NW

Or you could probably use a bunch of 3.5mm to rca cables to connect your x-fi to the multi channel input on your receiver.
