Yamaha RX-V765 hiss

I have a yamaha rx-v765 and the left speaker channel constantly hisses. I double checked my speaker cables and switched speakers so I know those aren't the issue.

I unplugged everything so right now I just have the receiver and 2 front speakers. When I turn it on, like I said, the left channel constantly hisses. The other thing I noticed is that when I turn the receiver off, it makes a popping noise in that channel. I took the cover off to see if I could see any loose wires, but everything looks legit to me, but I'm not a big audio guy so there could be something I'm missing.

Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong?

I have the exact same problem with my RX-V765. Did you ever figure out a solution?

It will need service, there is either a leaky cap, a bad solid state device junction or a noisy resistor. You won't solve this yourself unless you have the skill and the test equipment.
