I'm glad that I found this website!! It has been a great help reading reviews and the posts here.
Recently I bought the Yamaha RX V2500 reciever and I have a question hopefully someone can answer for me. I have hooked up my older (lower quality) JVC DVD player to the reciever using just the video portion of the RCA cable and for the audio the optical digital input. My question is when I am listening to the radio, I seem to be able to get more sound at lower volume than when I am playing a DVD for instance. Is this because I have a cheap quality DVD player or maybe some other reason?
Anyway, thanks for reading this and entertainig my question.
