Ok, so I have had both a yamaha (DSP-A3090 - currently in living room) and Denon (3805 - in dedicated theater room) and liked them both. I now want to upgrade my dedicated theater receiver (3805 will go to the living room). Setup it will be powering is:

- Def Tech BP7002 mains/C2002 center/BPX surrounds
- Energy s12.3 sub
- PS3
- Dish Network DVR
- Epson 5500 projector

Looking at a Denon 3310CI or a Yamaha RX-V2065 (Best Buy has 36 month financing - only way to get it by the wife). I am having a hard time discerning the differences between the two. Looking to pull the trigger soon (like tonight). Thanks for all commentary/suggestions/criticisms/etc.

It happens to almost all of us. So easy to blurt out advice, spend other people's money, but it gets tougher when you have to choose for yourself sometimes. :)

If all else is the same, I'd go with Denon because I'd want the Audyssey suite. That one has vanilla multEQ, Dyn vol, and Dyn EQ. If I buy one soon, this year, it will have the XT version of the multEQ as well DSX so I have the chance to add height speakers.

If you don't care for the Audyssey suite, go with the better price I guess.

Or I could bite the bullet and go up to a 4310...

Yes, that one is a top notch receiver with MultEQ XT and DSX.
* Excellent reviews all around, best value in all Denon A/V receivers.

...and that's what I did (although the $700 price tag difference didn't go over that well with the wife)
