Yamaha RX-V1700 vs. Onkyo TX-SR705

I'm considering both of these units, whose primary use will be for music. I looked at the Onkyo 805 as well, but at 60lbs and some apparent heat issues, the 705 offers a better value to me. Either can be had for about $650.

Comments/recommendations from anyone on these two units?

The Yamaha is last year's model. It has HDMI version 1.2 and will not on it's own decode the latest HD audio signals.
Th Onkyo is new this year, has HDMI 1.3 and the ability to decode all the latest audio.
Reliablity-wise, I've always trusted Yamaha. But the 705 & 805 are on my short list for receivers.

...Thanks for the posting and comments. I don't need the HDMI right now, but it does make sense to have some future built in to a $700 receiver.
