Yamaha RX-A720

Hello and thank you for all the help I have received from people on this forum already. I picked up a used yamaha RX-A720 receiver and really do like it alot. I'm sure it will do much more than i am able to understand it to do lol. My question is I have a RS analog SPL meter and becasue I do not have a calibration mic for this receiver yet, I would like to know how to use the RS meter to set up the 5.2 speaker setup i have for it now. I used it on my older Onkyo receiver but the yamaha doesnt play the test tones one at a time for me to calibrate each speaker with. Instead it moves around the room. Any help with this would be greatly appeciated.

I like the Alan parsons Sound check CD. It offer a bevy of test sounds, music, pink and white noise at different frequencies.

So you play the cd and just connect/ disconnect each speaker to set the volume for the listening positions?
