Yamaha RX-A2040 - 9ch Stereo No Sub!

Possible noob question for the experts...I can't figure out why my new Yamaha RX-A2040 only outputs to the 5 main speakers and not the sub when I put on 9ch stereo or any DSP with a 2 channel source.

It does this for Sonos connected via optical, Spotify Connect, or AirPlay.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Are your speakers set to large? Usually this is the easiest solution. Check to make sure your speakers are set to small with the crossovers at around 80hz. Stereo signals do not have an LFE or .1 track so you need to have the speaker crossovers set correctly to have lower frequencies go to the sub.

Ah!! The YPAO set them all to large. I'll change to small and setup the crossover. That's gotta be it.
