Has anyone had experience with the refurbished offerings on 'Accessories4less'. In my case I'm looking at a Yamaha CD-S2100

I've had good experiences with 2 different receivers (Denon and Marantz). Both are still going strong 2 and 3 years later respectively.

Lots of threads on utilizing A4L. Biggest thing is make sure you're good with the risk of a refurb and how A4L terms for returns for such work (it's not a satisfaction guarantee type purchase). I've had good dealings with A4L even when I got some bad Denon refurbs. Man, that is one pricey cd player....at least it has some discount this way.

Bought my Yamaha A-S801 and Pioneer UDP-LX500 - both no problems. I also got a pair of KEF Q750s. They were defective and I had some problems dealing with A4L until KEF actually stepped in and took care of it for me.

That CD-S2100 looks sweet! Are going with silver or black? I would lean towards silver, even though it is $100 more...

Can you elaborate on the problems you had with accessories4less? What was wrong with the speakers? Generally, I would consider speakers to be the least risky of any refurbished items!
Thanks!

Hey KEW! One of the speakers was defective: the midrange/tweeter assembly was designed to be isolated from the woofer/passive radiators (sealed chamber). However, if I pushed on the midrange (yeah, I was fooling around with my speakers!) it would affect the other drivers (they would “push” out). Thus was contrary to what I gleaned about the construction (I don’t know if it altered the performance or not). I reported it to A4L (they would not replace the speaker because they were out of stock). KEF stepped in and gave me a new one. It was just a hassle is all (and kind of weird).

Did A4L offer any fix, given they could not replace the speaker? Or did they blow you off?
I am especially interested in this because I very often recommend buying from them and also point out that they are fair in their handling (they have been in my experience and the accounts I have read).
If they could not resolve your concern because they did not have a replacement, it doesn't satisfy you, but it is understandable that the next step would be to work through KEF/warranty for resolution. That said, if you discovered the issue with the speaker within a fairly short period, I would expect A4L to offer a refund.
I understand that would not be at all satisfactory for you after you found the "perfect deal/solution"!

However, the most interesting aspect of this to me is that the speaker cabinet would not properly isolate the bass section! Were these refurbs or sold new? Either way, I might expect a faulty driver (it happens),but not a bad cabinet out of KEF!
Thanks for the info!

Yeah, I'd love to be the fly on the wall so to speak for that telecon about that problem, which might be considered fairly unusual.....glad Kef stepped up, tho.
