They seem to be very good, from what i've read people have been very pleased with them. Yamaha are usually very good at designing speakers and build quality is always meaty. The 555's have a piano high gloss finish and the internal wiring is all done by monster cables. i'd give them an audition if i were you.

Cant go wrong with the value of the NS-333/444/555/777, they are the best value around but not for everyone's taste, they are truly accurate but lack the SPL generating capability which pleases many, also imaging can do better. However if you are looking for an accurate, beautifully finished speaker which wont break your wallet, these are the best in the market.

I will agree that these are an excellent value. A very good friend of mine has the NS-555/444/333 combo and they look great and sound pretty damn great for the price.
