I'm confused about which one to get. Here in India the Yamaha NS-333s are selling for 485USD while the S30s are available for 201USD.
I have read about both of them but cant decide which one to get as i never found a good comparison between the two :(
I got a demo of the NS-333 and it literally blew me away :) am really impressed with them but i couldn't get a demo of the S30 yet so i don't know how good/bad they sound.
I know the S30s are costlier than the NS-333 in the US but i want to know whether they are really better than the NS-333 or not.I'll be driving them with the Yamaha RX-V365 and this sound setup is for my computer.I'm tired of the usual 2.1 computer speakers so i decided to switch to proper bookshelf speakers.Hope you can help me out:)

Cheers

Hmmmmm this is a hard one since it doesn't matter how much the speakers are worth since the Yamaha's sounds great to you.

With that said, I'd have a hard time over-paying that much for the Yamaha's when they are really worth 1/3 the price here in the US.

I believe that the Cambridge use higher quality parts, and the cabinets will be more solid. The size may be a factor, as well as power handling compared to the NS-333. If your listening habits do no require high levels of output you can always give the S30s a shot, they have received much praise around here for being good looking and sounding excellent as well.

I bought my NS-333s while stationed in Japan for about $120US and to me they are not worth that much. I sure as hell wouldn't pay $485 for them.

I think we agree that $485 is way too much for these speakers. While the OP does like them I can't justify overspending that much on such an item. It would be cheaper to have someone back in the US purchase the speakers for him and ship them to him unless Indian port levees are super high from US. The NS-333 is made in China, no idea why they cost so much to move across land.
