Yamaha Musiccast for older, non-digital system?

I just purchased a Yamaha Rx-1050 (not even out of the box yet) to rebuild my downstairs system from scratch. Looking at the documentation, it apparently supports Musiccast. This looks like a great idea, if there are devices available on the receiving end.

My older upstairs system is non-digital all analog NAD components - once high end, still nice sound. I would like to play some of the 300+GB of music stored on my PC through this system.

My first idea was to buy a Sonos Connect, or similar product. Then reading about Musiccast it seems it could do the same thing, if there was a device that spoke Musiccast that could plug into the NAD preamp like the Sonos Connect. Apparently only Yamaha makes Musiccast equipment, and they don't seem to have anything like the Connect.

Anyone have a suggestion for what to use??

.thnx....

IMO, ideas like Musiccast always fail in the market unless the creator has the smarts to release the technology of others to invest in.

Any suggestions appreciated
