Looking into a home theater system, the yamaha DVXC700 at $500 ($400 at B&H apparently) sounds great at best buy. Was one of the fancier displays and my brother (owner of Harford Sound) was with me and agreed it was one of the best sounding ones there. Few reviews say its good for the money, though not nearly top of the line, though I cant afford that. Meant for dorm/bed room, so its plenty loud. His db meter got it up to 96 db, could have gone louder though, wasnt any distortion yet. Anyone hear anything about this setup?
I see some complaints with yamaha dvd players, any idea which one it uses and if thats one of the better ones? I dont want to sink $500 into a system and be disappointed.
