I'm pretty sure you do the fronts by both, not FR and FL. You use the avg between the two.

Actually, if you look at the manual for either the c750 or c950, you set the centre, right surround and left surround only - you cannot set delay for the fronts at all (averaged or otherwise).

How have owners of the c750 or c950 set distance/delay for only the surrounds and centre? Any experiences would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

The set-up assumes that your fronts are the same distance to the listening area. that's a reasonable assumsion. You then adjust the difference in distance of center and surround in relation to the fronts.
It also assumes, somewhat short sightedly, that the fronts and surrounds are the same or a shorter distance from the listener.

If one didnt care for the 750 or 950,what the heck others are there out there? Onkyo? Not very good from what i've read.

As I previously stated; I can attest to the the mediocre performance of the Onkyo.
Yes, we are getting a bit nit picky here. But, That's why we keep tuning in..........
To the point...I stand by my original statement, and I'll be more to the point; IMHO, for a multidisc player,Yamaha is the best choice.

OK I'll bite.
shokhead,
Your sig shows you have a Sony player. Is your main reason for pimping the Yamaha it's DVD-A capablitily?

Not pimping but i have more DVD-A then SACD's so i'll admit it,i made a mistake and should have gotten a univer player. I like changers{5 or 6 disc} and the Yamaha seems to be really the only one that any good. So it seems for a changer with SACD and DVD-A there might be 3-4 to choose from, pretty limited.

Agreed. I'm somewhat surprised that Denon hasn't thrown their hat in the ring for 5/6 disc uni-players.
I say somewhat because of the apparently inherent problematic muti-disc/multi format combination.

(wow, that last sentence had lots of big words. hope some one is impressed. i'm tired, need to rest)
