Heh, picked up a gem for $60 about last week :D
I need to get some pictures of it together, but I had to fix it first before I could use it. Some tuner cleaner and 3 hours later, presto! It works wonderfully :D

Here's the mess I had to deal with :)

This was my first DSP unit, excellent build and nice sound from the Ashai Kansei chips used in it, actually far more natural than the latest Yamaha DACs used in today's receivers. The amp section was quite top notch as well, if everything works, its a steal at $60. You bought back some sweet memories.

Yeah, belive it or not, everything does work on it. I got it home the first night and the stupid thing played very quietly.... I knew because the volume knob was all the way up and barely any sound was coming out.

I ended up testing just the amp section with my Dimesia preamp, and that ****er got LOUD as hell. So, I knew at least the amp worked.

So, I plugged some headphones in and started at lower volume, like way lower. Jiggled EVERY knob that said Bass/Treble/Balance/Volume/Input. They were ALL DIRTY

So, 3 hours later, thats what happened. Put her back together, watched for smoke :D, and holy crap. Volume was NOWHERE near where I had it. Not to mention it didn't sound like a mouse was crapping in the amplifier :D
