YAMAHA CR-200E Receiver - Help with Speakers

I've bought a pair of vintage speakers that don't sound quite right with my Yamaha CR-200E vintage receiver. The sound isn't much better than what I'd expect from a pair of computer desk speakers. I'm wondering whether the poor sound quality has something to do with the speaker wattage.

If so, should buy a different receiver or a different set of speakers?

Photos are attached here with the device specs.

I've also attached a photo of my turntable in case that helps.

Many thanks.

Probably the speakers. I don’t know of any decent-quality speakers that ever came with a skinny built-in cable like that. It's typically only found on low-end stuff.

I'd say almost definitely the speakers. What are they?

Agree with the others and vintage in audio doesn't mean good, just old (IME, IMO, YMMV, etc).
