Yamaha Aventage RX-A770 vs Pioneer Elite VSX-LX302 ?

I am searching for an AVR and more or less have it down to either the Yamaha Aventage RX-A770 or the Pioneer Elite VSX-LX302. It would be 75% music listening and 25% movies/tv. Which, in your opinions, would be better. I'm thinking a 3.1 system but would expand down the road.

Either would work, choose the one that has the features/connectivity you prefer. Personally I'd look at Denon/Marantz over Pioneer avrs.

I'd take the pioneer over the Yamaha, but as @lovinthehd said denon / Marantz would be better at that price point, specifically the denon x3300 @599
