It's $50 more and it wont buy you any improvement in sound quality. Yeah,without losing any sound quality I'll pay less and get a few features more(tuner,electronic speaker switching,adjustable display showing vol level for all inputs), but that's just me. To each, his own.Don't get me wrong, if the amp sounded even a little bit better,I'd go that way. I'll pay more for better sound any day, but unless you're driving incredibly inefficient speakers at loud levels, 10 more watts won't make any audible difference. I'm not dissing the amp(I like it!), I just don't understand why it should sell for more than the receiver. No big deal, the older I get the less I understand.
