Am I missing something on how to run the auto calibration with A/B speaker setup?
Tried running it with both AB on, just B, but it only runs it for A.

It'll run it if you set them as presence, but if you switch it back to "front b" the speakers no longer show in the menu system.

I'm trying to do a speaker comparison to figure out which ones to buy, so want to try and level the field by configuring both.

Hmmm. I don't know if it's possible. I think they desiged it so that just the "A" or just the "B" speakers would be used as your mains in an HT set-up and your "B" speakers would be used for just stereo use. Try Yamaha's tech support they're not too bad.

I had the RX-V663 and the set-up interface is terribly combersome. Without the manual to guide me I had a very difficult time navigating through it. I had the RX-V4600 and the interface was much easier to use. Good luck.

You need to turn on the B speakers in the setup menu to use them. A and B speakers cannot be used at the same time.

YPAO only uses the A speakers for calibration. The B speakers are not used with YPAO.

Check pages 32 - 43 in your manual. It's all there.
