Any word on when the Yamaha AVENTAGE RX-A2080 will have a refresh? Was looking forward to Onkyo/Integra, Pioneer but it seems its not looking to good for them.

According to my inside Yamaha source based in Japan... He responded that Yamaha is now evaluating (2) new HDMI 2.1 processors, since the Panasonic IC fell short in bandwidth.. If all goes well and 1 of these is approved then mass production by late 4th quarter is possible. However note now with the shortage of many other supporting internal components including semiconductors, the delivery date may change.. But since since Yamaha designs/builds their AVRs in their own factories, they can likely respond more expediently than other AVR brands that build through 3rd parties...
