Yamaha 1500 Remote Learn button....

I went to go set the code for my Sony VCR on my Yamaha remote the other night and for some reason the button wouldn't work. When I pressed it the screen on the remote wouldnt light up like it used to when I pushed the learn button. Is there a setting somewhere that I might have changed that disables the learn button to work, or do I have to take my remote in on warrenty? Also warranty covers situations like this correct? Thanks

Yes if the unit is still under warrenty I do believe that the remote is also covered.

One thing to try, (Don't Laugh..) Change the bats. Seriously...put some new bats in. Some times the remote has enough juice to control stuff, but not enought to power the processor to learn something.

Also check the manual about reseting the remote to the factory settings and try again.
