yam 2500 sub switch?

Any one know if the v2500 receiver has a way to switch off a sub woofer when not on? i have the axiom ep500 that has a input for remote shut off , but i dont see any thing in the v2500 manual regarding this issue, maybe some one can help,,,,

How does the Axiom remote shut off work? THAT would be the manual you need to explore. Most subs have the ability to auto shut off after 15 minutes with no signal or something similar to that. So, if your receiver is off, then a while later the sub will automatically click off.

Yours may allow for a 12v trigger which is on the back of your 2500. You would just get a 1/8" mono to 1/8" mono wire and connect the 2500 12v output to your sub and it should be good to go.

Yer right. Most subs have an auto shut off feature that usually kicks in after a few minutes of idling. I would be surprised if this one didn't.

I gotta read these things more carefully. I thought he wanted to shut off the audio signal to the subwoofer and channel 'em to the mains. duh...

the axiom ep500 will not shut off unless it gets a signal of 12 to 30 volts to one of its inputs.no auto shut off time feature on this model, i just didnt see where you can hook up that feature on the v2500 to the ep500.
