Y yu no 7.1?

I have recently gotten into 3d. I have both GIjoe and Transformers 3 in 3d. Both of these state Dolby True HD 7.1, but I am only getting 5.1 dolby standard. Am running off a PS3(older 40gb) and My Onkyo S5400. Does anyone else have this issue? Is it my receiver, the disc, or the PS3?
