XTZ Sound is still a relatively new and unknown company to many audiophiles in North America. Thus, you won't find too many reviews, especially ones with actual speaker measurements.

This thread is dedicated to XTZ Sound owners and fans.

Which XTZ products do you own?

Which XTZ products have you auditioned?

What are your impressions of them?

The XTZ 99.36 Loudspeaker - Review [English]

I'm from Sweden, so have had a bit more contact with XTZ speakers than most here. I recently listened to almost their whole line-up in their shop in the village of Torup (pop. 1200) in the southwest of Sweden. I tried the Divine series, Cinema M6, 99.36 and 99.25, a surround set-up of the 95 series, and one of the 93 series.

The Divine Series was, you guessed it, divine, clear and musical and just great, I think I would get the 100.33, just for space reasons, and complete it with a sub.

Cinema M6 was very clear and separated the instruments very well, and worked well as a musical speaker, and the advanced tweeter configuration seems to have several advantages.

99.36 mkII was great as a musical speaker, and would work great in a 2.0 set-up, full bass, good separation, musical. 99.25 mkII might work in a smaller room, but really need a sub to sound their best, as most bookshelf speakers do. The same clarity and musicality as their big brother, but not the same oomph.

95-series didn't have the same "hi-fi" sound as the 99 series, but could play louder and was maybe a bit more fun. Big boxes though, so they will stand out in a home theater.

If you want longer impressions, ask and ye shall receive.

They need to get some measurements and reviews from Soundstage, Stereophile, S&V, and Audioholics. :D

NEW - Cinema Series!
Could you tell me a little about the Divine 100.49's tri-wire/tri-amp?

When you remove the jumpers between the Midrange & Bass, does the Bass become a completely separate speaker?

This would allow you to actively bi-amp the bass and independently control the bass using LFE output from the AVR and external amp.

As I understand it in the 100.49 there are two separate amp options, so you can either bi/tri-amp and use the internal filter in the 100.49, or you can use the active connections and filter externally. I'm pretty sure you can mix and match as well, so amping the subwoofer drivers actively and using the internal filters for the mid/tweeter should work fine.

I just ordered:
- 2x XTZ Divine 100.49 for LR.
- 5x XTZ Divine 100.33 for the Center, Surround and back.
- 5x XTZ floor stands for the Divine 100.33.
- 1x XTZ Room Analyzer II Pro.

Throughout the communication they were very friendly, very help helpful and so informative.

So far, the customer service is excellent. I like they way they handled the order.

I emailed couple of other speaker manufacturers but never had swift responses like XTZ did.

Everything was pleasant. Can't wait to test the speakers.

I'll post my feedback once they arrive.

Congrats!

Seems like an awesome setup!

What is the ETA of the ATI, SVS, & XTZ? 2-3 weeks?

Now you need a processor?

SVS is shipped, just few days.

ATI 2-3 weeks.

XTZ 3-4 weeks cause of sea freight.

I didn't decide yet on the processor and crossover.

We are anxiously awaiting your decision. :D

I assume you have crossed Yamaha out since you just returned the pre-pro.

I am routing for Denon or Marantz for Audyssey XT32 + Dual Sub EQ + Dynamic EQ.

But there is also Anthem's ARC + single sub EQ + Dolby Volume Leveler.

The Marantz pre-pro would be a good choice.

I wouldn't mess with an active crossover just yet. I assume XTZ has high quality crossovers in their flagship speakers because you are paying for them. :D

Doesn't XTZ simply contract with one of the many Chinese speaker outfits making minor changes in cosmetics and labeling? A few years ago they were getting their amps from ToneWinner like Emotiva was albeit with a significantly worse warranty.

I've reviewed two different XTZ products in the past few years. I currently own some 93.21 speaker, and at one point a W12.16 subwoofer as well. I liked every single one of them.

Good question. Where are the XTZ products made? China?

Even so, many good things are made in China. But it is just a curious question. That is all.

It is designed and developed in Sweden, core components like drivers are sourced from brands such as Accuton and Visaton drivers, then it is manufactured in China

Agreed; that has been a non-issue for a long time. Everyone loves SVS subwoofers - myself included - yet no one mentions the fact that they're made overseas too. It all depends upon who you contract the work from and what their QC is like. I've seen a bunch of XTZ products and I can attest to the fact that they chose wisely.

I can not intelligently comment on what XTZ was doing a few years back since I am new with the company.

These days, we either use high-end components from well-respected raw driver suppliers such as Accuton, Peerless, Seas, or Visaton or custom designed components from top Asian suppliers.

On the latest Cinema series speakers, no off-the-shelf components were used throughout the line-up.

XTZ is fully committed to growing the brand in North America with fully stocked warehouses in Wisconsin and California and dedicated staff in California.

We are about to introduce our new improved "Buy & Try" At-Home Audition program with free shipping both ways.

For anyone who has been on the fence about trying XTZ, there are no more excuses.

Please PM me for the details if you want to try it before it goes public.

Are the speakers assembled in China (like most speakers, subs, and electronics these days) using these excellent parts?

Yes, the assembly is performed at the best factories in China to our custom quality control standards and test plans.

We perform extensive acoustic and reliability testing along with computer modeling and simulation during development, production and final inspection to ensure that our products provide our customers with unmatched visceral listening experience for years to come.

Yeah, I think the new $22,000 Revel Salon2 is also assembled somewhere in Asia. Most speakers (B&W CM, KEF R-series, PSB Synchrony One, etc.) are assembled in China or somewhere in Asia.

The salient points are quality parts and control.

At this point, I think the only thing "holding back" XTZ are the 3rd party measurements and reviews. Once that happens, I think XTZ could be another PSB, KEF, Revel, B&W, etc., or better. :D

I really like the optional active bi-amp and tri-amp feature of the Divine tower. I think active bi-amp of the dual 10" woofers w/ LFE will eliminate the need subwoofers for subwoofers for many people.

At 4ohm 89db, it may take some pretty stout electronics to get to the full capabilities of these speakers.
