I have the Blu Ray, DVR, and Wii through the receiver, no problem. However, I can't get sound or video from the 360. The 360 has componet video, and optical or composite audio. Below's the screen shot. Can someone let me know what goes where? I can't get it!

I'll have a nice diagram up for you in a couple minutes.

Edit:

So you're going to connect your Xbox to the receiver using the Red hookups, and output to your TV through the Blue hookups.

The Blu-ray player should be connected to one of the HDMI In ports. If both your DVR and Wii are using component inputs you will have to disconnect one, so the xbox can use one of them as shown in the diagram. If they are I suggest just using composite inputs for your Wii.

Connect component video output of the X360 to the far left component video inputs of the receiver.

Connect digital audio (optical) from the X360 to the optical input immediately below the component video input.

Connect component video out of the Yamaha to your TV's component video input.

You MAY need to make a composite video connection from the X360 to the TV first to setup the video output of the X360 and tell it to use component video instead of composite video, but this is not typically the case.

Just make sure you are running component video into the Yamaha AND that you are running component video out of the Yamaha to your TV. Also make sure your TV is on the component video input, not the HDMI input.

Not sure, but some people think that just connecting HDMI is enough. This is only the case with higher end receivers which convert composite, s-video, and component video to HDMI... This receiver does not make that conversion, so composite/component video would need to be connected.

Taken right from the website:

"Analog video upscaling to full HD 1080p"

I assumed this is done over HDMI.

Reading the manual, it is not done over HDMI....somehow...that's weird. I know it says upscaling and not up-converting, but I've never heard of this being done on anything but HDMI.

Thanks. I'll give it a try and let you know.
One thing though, where's the audio out from the XBOX going? Does the audio then go through HDMI? There's no optical audio out?

IF you're using the original XBOX360 output cable that came with it, the one with component, and composite cables attached, you need to make sure that you switch the switch on the back end of the cable closest to the 360 to make it play through component instead of composite, but the sound will still come out of the red and white cables, unless you attach an optical cable to the back end of the cable.

What is connected to that component slot (first on the left). That's where I woud send the 360 to.

It is just analog audio. No such thing as "composite" audio, only video.
