Ok on my pioneer receiver theres a x over setting by default its set to 100.
I only have a 5.0 sound system. and i just use the built in subs that are in my front mains. were should i set my x over to what number? or it wont matter?

Set your Fronts to Large, set Sub to Off.
Xover wont matter as the LFE info will be sent to your mains.

edit* if the subs arent passive, youd want to cross it over at around 60-80.

I only have a 5.0 sound system
I was assuming his mains were passive towers, as he stated 5.0 not 5.1. But if they are active then he could hook up the LFE channel to the active subs.

I had my sub Xover at 50hz until I read the THX explination of their recomendation for a 80hz Xover, it made sense to me so I changed mine to 80hz.

ok. i forgot to say is i have no exsternal subwoofers in the corners of my room.
my towers have built in mid/rang woofers.
