The audio was great, the video is good, the movie is easily the worst of the series...

Perhaps too many episodes but it did entertain me.
I feel they closed a few loose ends and opened one or two perhaps for another movie in the future or just to be a tease.
I will buy this to complete my collection.

Didn't like it enough in the theater to pick it up on release day, though the trilogy pack looks interesting. There was already a thread about the movie.

I gotta second the Blockbuster thing. I picked up around a dozen movies in the past 5-6 months from them for $5 each. It's really a good price for some of those movies that you're not really sure about, but still want. I think rentals are $4.50 now, so for the extra $0.50 you get to have more crap to figure out where to store somewhere.

We bought the trilogy pack for my 10 year old daughter. I have not watched the disc at home yet but the package for X-3 lists both 6.1 DTS EX and 5.1DD EX.rgriffin25 said:

I liked them all, but I'd have to say X-Men 3 was easily my favorite of the three.

$4.50 to rent?! No wonder I always just buy! I have never in my life ever rented a DVD. Even if I was into renting, X3 would be a must-buy to me. I'm reluctant to really discuss the film much, for doing so is very difficult without giving away spoilers. I will say the movie was very "busy"- they compress a lot of different story lines from the books, and they introduce more mutants than even I, a longtime Marvel fan, can keep track of (somehow I didn't realize til the credits that the one foxy chick w/Magneto was Calysto! ). I am a big fan of sequels, if they're good- God knows there's plenty of X-Men stories they could still tell. Unfortunately, many of them will be impossible after this one.

I like the X-men - Brood storyline myself.

I had to fill one of those, not in the sales bin and pulled it off the shelves for me.
I'll have to try that again later when I don't find it in the sale bins.

I can't argue with your logic. But my experience is different- in the town I currently live the theater is worthless. I have to drive 100 miles to a decent theater; as a result, I haven't gone to see a movie this year. So I pretty much have to rent or buy, or not see the movie. That's not a hardship, though; I have a pretty decent system with a pair of potent subs, a nice Optoma projector and a pretty well treated room, acoustically. Here's the deal; if I rent something for $4 bucks and love it, then I have to pay $15-20 more to buy it on top of the rental fee. If I buy it and love it, I've saved $4. Of course, it's different if it sucks.
But in that case I'll usually trade or sell it. In point of fact excepting major releases that I'm pretty sure about (via word of mouth or reviews), I usually don't pay more than $8-$10 per DVD anyways, which really makes rental a waste of money for me.
