When I first saw this thread I thought maybe they started production and got really excited. But this movie is still a couple of years off. Too bad they didn't do this 3-4 years ago and keep some synergy going. Oh welll.
The smoking man, I can never remember the actors name, was on the first episode of The Masters of Science Titled The Awakening where he played the President of the USA. Terry O'Quinn was also in the episode and it was very good. The show is running on ABC on Saturday evenings at 10 PM so you know it will get killed in the ratings.
Gillian did have a child while taping the X-Files but that was around the second season. She had another child last fall. I thought she not only looked good in The King of Scotland but did a great job of acting in it. It was nice to see her with a fairly large part in a large movie instead of the more indie stuff she typically does.
While the first movie was not great it was good and I break it out once a year for some good fun. I'm anxiously awaiting the release of the next one.

I also enjoyed the first one, but agree that there is plenty of room for improvement. Some of the TV episodes were great, so the potential is certainly there.I liked the first movie, it was Good not great...hope this one is better.

How in the blazes is did I miss that I saw the film a few months back on rental and I didn’t notice (Gillian Anderson’s) screen credit as “Sarah Merrit” “The Last King of Scotland” (2006) I was watching the girl in some hot scenes, I guess it was the hairstyle that throw me off. Now I can see I can see her sexy looking nose.
