WTB: spl meter / or borrow

I tried picking up an analog one from RatShack before they totally disappeared.. :/ couldn't find any from my area.

Not much on ebay at all either. Maybe someone has one they are no longer using, or know of a vender that has them at a cheap/low price.

I considered getting the bundle with my SVS sub, but the spl and avia at $88... couldn't do it then perhaps someone has this bundle that they would be willing to sell used?

Well, you can order the SPL meter online from Rat Shack, and you can rent Avia and Digital Video Essentails from Blockbust Online and Netflix.

The ones are Rat Shake are the digital ones... I've heard that you really want the analog ones... Which are now discontinued. Spending $45+ on a SPL that I won't use much after the initial setup seems a bit silly... true I might be moving again in like 3 years... but still

hm, I have a blockbuster membership... I didn't realize I could rent it there. I'll still need to over lots of info/docs in how to do this.

uhhhhhhhhhh.... hm, I thought they told me they discontinued the analog - and were unloading them at like $19.95... I couldn't find any of the stores in my area that still had that. Perhaps it was simply an model upgrade...

$40 huh... hm, wonder if I can get it cheaper somewhere else, kinda think not

Ah... I read that a while ago... Looks like they might of liquidated their older analog ones, replaced them with newer ones... but kept the same serial numbers??? odd... I could of sworn I heard in that post you reference, and also at Rat Shack B&M stores that they were going for $19.95 a piece... oh well looks like it's either $40 or $50 for one... hense why I'd rather go used I think.
