I own Infinity P363 in my bedroom system. Emotiva is closing out some speakers at a great deal but with no returns. Does anyone know if the ERT 5-2 series from Emotiva would be an upgrade over Infinity p363's??
Thanks

I haven't heard the ERTs, but I have heard the 363 and owned the 163. I'm going to say the ERTs are going to be better :)

Thanks... They are very tempting... A bit worried about the 4ohm rating on these. A Marantz PM8004 would be driving them..
Any idea how the Emotiva's would rate compared to my Polk LSi-15's?

I am not a big fan of the LSIs (love the tweeter, hate the midrange), but since I haven't heard the ERTs, I can't really say. The 15s are already 4 Ohm so if the PM8004 is handling them fine (if you've tried them on it), then the ERTs should also be fine. Even though Marantz lists all their amps at 6 Ohms minimum, I've run 4 ohm speakers on my PM7200 before; it doesn't go really loud, but it gets loud enough for typical listening.

Thanks. I actually have Emotiva XPA-2 running the LSi's in my main room. These would be for the bedroom.

I never heard the LSis with a big amp, so that could have been a factor in my opinion of them, but I owned my 7s for about a year.

Are you thinking of the XRT 5-2? The ERT series has been gone for a while.
They look nice for the price.
