Wireless Speakers to Existing Receiver

I've done a lot of homework but nothing seems straight forward or reasonably priced. I have a Yamaha Rx-A800 receiver circa 2011 which connects to a 5.1 wired system. I'm trying to add 2 speakers in another room (16x16) and i cannot run wires. I need to do this wirelessly. any cost effective and good quality set up out there?

I was thinking getting the SVS Soundpath Wireless Adapter and the SVS Prime Wireless Speakers. The speakers are a bit more than I wanted to spend. Any other ideas how to do this?

The Prime Wireless speakers have their own receiver, so the one the Soundpath comes with would be redundant.

If you want to stream from your Yamaha receiver, it will require a wireless transmitter connected to the main pre-outputs. The Avantree Oasis seems to be one of the better transmitters.

A quick look at the Prime Wireless web page mentions streaming capability from tablets and phones. The million-dollar question is if it’ll stream from a transmitter like the Oasis. It should, but I’d give SVS a call before you plunk down the money.

Unfortunately, consumer wireless is a blinky mess because it relies on the crowded 2.4 GHz band, which is notoriously unreliable. This means you can have interference or even drop-outs caused by other devices in the house, or maybe even your neighbor’s house, if it’s close enough to you. It’s not uncommon for wireless devices to garner no more than a 65% user approval rating on sites like Amazon.

So be prepared, if you end up with issues you’ll have to move up to a pro-audio solution. It will be more reliable and more expensive.
