Wireless Rocketfish rear speaker controllers

I have a small apartment based all Klipsch 5.1 system and wish to not have to step over a runner carpet covering wires going to the rear surround speakers, anybody have experience with the "Rocketfish" wireless trxmtr and rcvr for the rear surround speakers, I just thought about the fact that I will need to supply power to them from the receiver so my request may be moot.

Any help genuinely appreciated.

The Rocketfish wireless kit I've seen has an amp for the speakers built into the receiver, allowing for a "wireless" gap between where you plug the transmitter and receiver into wall outlets. Which specific model is it? The universal kit discussed here ?

Yes that is the one I was considering, glad for the link, read the review, didn't realize "rocket fish" was a private label house brand, will get it next week and report back. Thanks for your help!

My son has one of those running the rear two speakers in his 7.1 system. Works great!

Best of luck to you.

I have the Rocketfish HD, 1 transmitter, and I connected 2 receivers (1 for SR and 1 for SL).

It works OK, no serious complaints, but the amps in the receivers aren't very powerful. On the other hand, the amps are rated to 4ohm. I do get a random "pop" every now and then, almost certainly from interference on the wireless spectrum.

Bottom line, they get the job done, but they certainly aren't anything to write home about. I have considered trying a higher end option, maybe Aperion or Monoprice solutions, but never got around to it yet.

I forgot to mention 1 item on using wireless connections for home theater--

Be sure to re-run your room correction once you install a wireless speaker system. And, don't be surprised when your receiver shows those wireless speakers distance setting as being much farther away than the reality if you were to physically measure them. The room correction software will likely pick up a little bit of lag from the wireless transmission, and it simply thinks that the speakers are farther away than they are.

But, that is the point of re-running the room correction, to get the timing correct at the listening position.
