Wireless Line Level Transmitter... or other solution?

Alright, I have one I haven't deal with this before, but I have an issue that hasn't clicked in for a solid solution for me yet.

I have a client who has a dance floor in his basement. He had originally installed 4 6" B&W speakers - not loud enough, very bright on the hardwood dance floor below.

I replaced them with 8" three way speakers and switched them amp up for something more powerful.

Still these four 8" speakers (in ceiling) and 12" sub are NOT enough for his desires.

Okay - so what the heck do I put in? Realistically, I can't run more power to these speakers without blowing them and the sound is incredibly loud in my opinion, but he wants more.

But, I can't run more wiring in the room.

I would like to give him some powered speakers (Behringer or similar) which are ridiculously powerful, but only are used when he needs that extra power. How do I get it from the source to the speakers in a reliable fashion? I want to take the line level output of the source and run it to a wireless line level repeater which can then allow for the speakers to be placed anywhere on/near the dance floor.

This is about 20 feet away - not crazy far, but totally impossible to retro wires in due to the design of the room without significant drywall repair.

I did not get to prewire this room and his expectations do not mesh up at all with what he originally requested.

I could go with hanging stage speakers and a Crown amp and tell him to repair his ceiling... I'm just looking for options overall. Any wireless solutions/repeaters people have used?

Wireless systems can be trouble with delay and such.

What's the source? Sonos makes pretty cool wireless units, with a nice remote to control with that might be nice for a home dance floor.

As far as output, what is loud to a sober guy working isn't loud to drunk people dancing. Really, I'd say the owner is going to need to make the jump to equipment intended to be played that loud.

To give you an idea, for a house party I tote a pair of my JTR t8s and the Danley CS-30s with a pair of Crest CD2000s. That'll do a house party with authority.

The source can be anything in his system and we have a Crestron controller in there to make it one touch easy.

My entire focus needs to be on getting audio from the rack to the speaker location in the best way possible. A couple hundred bucks on a wireless line level transmitter isn't out of the question.

Then perhaps $1,000 or more on a couple of powered speakers isn't out of the question either. I'm actually not locked into a fixed budgt, but I'm not sure he wants to spend $3,000 on this, even though I know that would be a good STARTING point.

I'd say your stuck running cables or using flyware for their existing locations.

A few wireless options I see are these:

...but they just seem a little like a rig for something like a dance floor. The Audioengine seems to operate within 100Hz to 10kHz, according to Engadget. The Aperion says they don't have interference, but they operate on 2.4 band...so....I donno.

Seems to me like with a high dollar Crestron setup, in order to do this right you'll need some wires. :/

I'll keep looking though.

I'm going to try to go with QSC HPR153i speakers which are 3-way 15" speakers rated at 134dB peak output...

A pair of them and a wireless 5.8GHz transmitter/receiver.

We'll have to see how it works. I would feel more confident in a digital transmitter/receiver setup, but think that I am limited by a lack of product on the market for wireless transmitter/receivers which aren't microphones or USB related.

If the speakers aren't enough, I can drop a couple of 18" subs in there as well, but the key is getting the audio there in the first place.
